The Global Village project is based on the successfull results of a Danish project called "Den Globale Landsby". The structure of the Danish project is now introduced as a permanent part of the Danish vocational education within mechanical manufacture.

The Danish experiences has been converted into a project of international scale - called The Global Village project.
