Zespól Szkól Mechanicznych I Elektrycznych and Centrum
Ksztalcenia Praktycznego, Torun
The dynamic principal of the school bid
us welcome and told of how he had had to make a choice between continuing as before or
repositioning the school in regards of introducing modern information technology. He
choose IT and the school is now co-operating with a centre for workshops, called
Centrum
Ksztalcenia Praktycznego. In total, ten such centres can be found
in Poland. Students getting these new qualifications answer the demands of companies,
whereas the traditionally educated students face hardship in finding jobs.
We visited rooms with computers and AutoCad/Cam equipment
equal to the Danish equipment all demonstrated by very enthusiastic teachers. It
was good to realize that everyone will be able to learn from one another in the project.
The students worked concentrated and quietly due to proper raising, according to
the principal!
