| Sidam The Danish company Gram Equipment A/S has a
subsidiary in Milan, called Sidam. We visited the company that produces icecream machines.
At the picture, the technical manager of Sidam is seen giving us an orienteration of the
production and showing us around the factory. |

Since 1992, the company has used AutoCad when drawing and
version 14 is now used. Also, the company is connected to the Internet on all work
stations. In the construction department, 2 employees of 14 were engineers – the
rest were technicians employed with a trial period of 1 year before final employment. |
| The company does not hire young people – only
experienced people. There is a tradtion that once employed by Sidam, you stay there for
many years. The technical manager was presented to our project and saw the possibilities
to use video telephone with programme sharing on the company’s communication with
Denmark.
The Danish manager of Sidam was away to Denmark and would receive a briefing of our
visit from the tehcnical manager at his return. |
