NATO headquarters On the day of our return to Denamrk, we visited the NATO headquarters. Flemming knows colonel Poul Kjærskou there. He told us about the various organs and daily "life" of the house. Among this the large changes due to the acceptance of membership by the former east block countries. The Russians have a permanent delegation in the headquarter and NATO today plays a totally new role in the new world order.
	The sculpture in front of the main entrance is made by the Danish artist Robert Jacobsen. It is considered a symbol of NATO as much as the official NATO-star. The headquarter is equal to a large conference centre and approximately 4000 people maintain their daily affaris in the building. Only about 1000 are military representatives.
